I started Vista Adult School’s Phlebotomy Program in 2023. My experience thus far has been so great. I was scared to come back to school after being off for so long, but the staff here has been so great. From my teachers to my school counselors, they have made coming back to school so much better than expected. I would recommend this school and program to anyone looking to further their education.

My time at VAS has been amazing. I have completed the Medical Assistant program here and now I am about to complete the phlebotomy program. The scheduling has worked great with my personal life. Since I work fulltime and have two little girls. Thanks to VAS and their amazing instructors, I can fulfill my dreams and goals. Mr. Manny and Ms. Karen are great instructors. My experience at Vista Adult School has been incredibly good so far. I am currently taking the phlebotomy class and it is such a fun class. The teachers, Ms. Medina and Mr. Manny are so helpful and are truly great at what they do. If you are a hands-on learner, this is the class for you. You will start practicing, drawing blood, and other skills the first week.

I have had an amazing experience here at Visa Adult School. The instructors are all nice. They review assignments clearly, and if we need additional help, they will review things as many times as needed. The staff are friendly and go over everything step by step. They will help with anything we need. I would 100% recommend this school to others because now I am able to reach my goals, I have had so much support here.

This is my second time in the phlebotomy class. I completed the course in 2019, however, when covid hit and things took a turn. A few years have passed, and I do not a stable career plan. Remembering how much I enjoy VAS Phlebotomy class, I decided to return. I am thankful that I got the chance to come back to VAS. My instructors have taught me so much. They are very helpful. VAS is a great place to start your career. Everyone here is welcoming, and they make you feel like you are and will be somebody. That’s what I’ve felt since the beginning. I love my class and my classmates are full of great energy. We all enjoy learning new things from one another.

I’ve been in this class for four weeks so far, and we have covered everything at a good pace. The instructor is nice and is preparing us to be competent Medical Assistants. One thing I appreciate about the class is what we do when we arrive each time; we wash our hands, sanitize workspaces and desks, before class starts. This helps us to get into the habit of doing it, so it is second nature when we start working. Students are also in scrubs, so class feels like a medical office.

My teacher Aida Vazques is a professional and teaches with patience and kindness. Her class is very interactive, and it is a pleasure to hear about her work and academic experiences. I feel confident asking for help signing up for classes, and the school office staff always helps me. For me, being here learning such a necessary language makes me feel complete. I try to give my best in class. I consider it important to continue with my ESL classes because it is the first step that will lead to developing academic and work skills that I can use in the United States, or anywhere else.
I am a student in Ms. Vasquez’s ESL, level 4 class. I graduated as cosmetologist a year ago and really like everything that has to do with beauty. I still have many goals and would like to be a dentist someday. In ESL, level 4 class, I have been able review a lot that I already know, as well as learn many new things. Ms. Vasquez is an excellent teacher. She knows how to explain things well, and she is very patient with all her students and always willing to help us.
